He graduated from Jawahar Lal Nehru Medical College, with gold medal and the title of Best Outgoing Graduate. He received his postgraduate degree Master of Surgery (M.S.) in orthopaedics from prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. He completed his Senior Residency (Registrarship) at AIIMS, New Delhi, after completing his MS (Orthopaedics).
